WOW: changes of paying game time

2021-04-08 00:00:00

Sadly, Blizzard makes some changes to the WOW payment system. You cannot buy single months (30 days), you can only buy two moths (60 days) from Battle.net.

So the World of Warcraft subscription rates changes has not pleased to the majority of users. Because, from now on you will no longer be able to buy game time for 30, 90 or 180 days. The only option available is 60 days of game time.

There are many questions about this change, so some forums have clarified things somehow. First, subscription model remains the same as before, you can continue to opt for a subscription of 30, 90 or 180 days. Secondly, you can also continue paying with WOW Tokens. And last, game times previously purchased will not be affected by this change.

However, this arbitrary change affects players who used to buy single month. Now they have to buy a more expensive 60-day bonus, that maybe they will use in full.

Of course, there are alternatives: as the 30-day subscriptions are still active, you can buy a one-month subscription and cancel it once the first payment has been made, so that you will not be charged the following month. And as long as you have enough gold in the game, you can redeem it for WOW Tokens.

And remember, if you are enjoying WOW, you can always buy WOW Gold in GoldPiles.
