WofW Classic: Defeat The Bosses of Zul Gurub

2020-04-26 00:00:00

WofW Classic players can now adventure into Zul’Gurub raid. This is a 20-player raid. It can be found in the Stranglethorn Vale. Just take your faction’s flight path to Stranglethorn Vale and look for the Lake Nazferit. The raid is on the eastern side of the lake. You can also simply look for that last undiscovered area on the map. Assuming that you have been questing in this zone, the only undiscovered part is the raid.

Unlike other WofW Classic raids, this one does not have a lengthy attunement quest. In fact, it doesn’t have one at all. You can just walk into the instance portal and start fighting bosses. As you can imagine, Zul’Gurub requires some gear so don’t count on being able to clear it with a group of fresh level 60s. Complete some dungeons and the other raids to get the gear you need.

The raid has 13 bosses, including the Edge of Madness event. Zul’Gurub may not have an attunement but it doesn’t quite hand you all the bosses just like that. This event summons one out of four random bosses. To summon it, you will need a potion that can only be created by a player with alchemy.

However, you will be glad to know that the potion can be traded and bought from the auction house. The bosses from this event drop items that are needed for a special trinket. They also drop weapons. Gahz’ranka is an optional boss. It can only be summoned by a player with fishing. You will need to complete a quest, buy some item from Nat Pagle, and fish some bait from the waters of Zul’Gurub.

Bloodlord Mandokir is another optional boss. This is the boss that drops the Swift Razzashi Raptor so you don’t want to miss it. Jin’do the Hexxer is optional as well. He drops a gear and armor tokens. The bosses that are not considered optional are the five High Priests. You can engage the end boss Hakkar without killing its priests but it’s practically impossible to defeat him as they all buff him in some way.

Zandalar Tribe is the faction associated with the Zul’Gurub raid. You get a reputation with them by killing mobs and bosses in the raid and also by turning in coins and bijous. Reputation rewards include crafting patterns and shoulder enchants.

Zul’Gurub may be great but it’s not the only exciting Stranglethorn Vale activity. No, we are not talking about the on-going massacre that takes place on PvP servers. There’s also the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza for those who want to take part in another kind of challenge.
