Get Ready For WofW Classic Phase 5

2020-07-28 00:00:00

Phase 5 is coming to WofW Classic on July 28th. This is the phase that ultimately introduces the two Ahn'Qiraj raids. This was one of the most memorable events in WofW Vanilla and it certainly is one of the most important events in WofW Classic as well. This isn't just a game update that brings a new raid. The raid becomes accessible on each server after a long questline is completed. What makes the title so respected is the fact that only a handful of players have it.

The first quest in the long chain quest is called What Tomorrow Brings and it's picked up from the Cavern of Time in Tanaris. You will then have to complete a long series of quests that culminates with the Bang a Gong! quest. The first player on the server that completes the quest gets the Scarab Lord title.

The player also gets the Qiraji battle tank mount. Players who turn in the quest within 10 hours of the first one get the mount and title as well. The quest remains available after that but it doesn't reward the mount and title anymore. After the quest is completed, all players on the server can enter the Ahn'Qiraj raids. Once the raid is open, there is no requirement to enter the two raids.

Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj is the 20-man raid. It is a catch-up raid that gives players the chance to gear up should they have missed other gear upgrades. Spell rank books drop from the raid allowing players to make their abilities more efficient. Players get a reputation with the Cenarion Circle by defeating enemies in this raid. Reputation rewards such as rings, cloaks, and weapons are available as well. A drop from the last boss begins a quest line at the end of which players obtain a necklace.

Ahn'Qiraj is the 40-man raid. The gear requirements for this raid are higher. The loot table includes Tier 2.5 items. Players get a reputation with the Brood of Nozdormu when they kill mobs and bosses. The last boss, C'Thun, drops an item that starts a quest that allows players to receive a healing necklace, DPS cloak, or a ring with spell damage. There are also mounts that can only be used inside this raid. Enchanters should keep an eye for the new recipes that drop from AQ40 bosses.
