Activision Blizzard has had a meeting with their investors and they have discussed the future plans they have regarding their biggest franchises. Beyond recently being announced that neither Diablo IV nor Overwatch II will be released in 2021, the developer still has a lot of work to do with World of Warcraft, WoW Classic, Hearthstone, and the Vicarious Visions Diablo II Remake. However, at this meeting it was reported that Blizzard has prepared several free to play Warcraft titles for mobile phones. The games are already in advanced stages of development and could be revealed in the coming months. This was stated by Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, at the aforementioned meeting with investors: “In our Warcraft franchise, we intend to offer more premium content more frequently to maintain and expand the World of Warcraft community. And we've created multiple free Warcraft experiences for mobile devices that are in advanced development based on our franchise's beloved IR. This will create opportunities for both existing players and new fans to experience the Warcraft universe in entirely new ways”. Activision Blizzard did not give specific dates for the announcements. At the moment, we still do not know when these games will be officially announced. This titles will compete in the market that currently generates the most profits for developers. In addition, they will have the mission to appease the popularity of games like Wild Rift or Mobile Legends that already have a solid player base in this platform. Some of the announcements are likely to be unveiled at BlizzCon 2021. Blizzard's annual event will run from February 19-20, and it is anticipated that they will reveal official information of the company's most recognized franchises, so World of Warcraft cannot stay outside of this. WoW Shadowlands has had a lot of support. Likewise, Bobby Kotick also highlighted in the meeting the support that World of Warcraft has received after the launch of Shadowlands, applauding the work that the company has done to keep its player base happy in recent months. Shadowlands sold over 3.7 million copies during its launch and is so popular that some players choose to buy wow gold online for real money in order to become more competitive and accelerate their progress. Despite Cyberpunk 2077 dominating the sales figures on Steam for a month after its launch, WoW Shadowlands' sales pace remained constant and almost never broke out of the top 20 games sold in the world. In fact, Shadowlands also had to compete with the revival of Rust, a survival title that again gained enormous popularity in January as many streamers around the world created servers and started playing it, although the rage lasted only a few weeks. Returning to World of Warcraft, all we have to do is wait for BlizzCon 2021 and see what Blizzard has in store for us to delight us both in WoW Shadowlands and in these new free-to-play games that will be released for mobile devices. Taking into account that they are already in the final stages of their development, it is very likely that some of them will be released in the first half of this year, so it is best to be attentive not to miss any news. World of Warcraft is now available worldwide on Microsoft Windows PC and MAC OS.
