World of Warcraft: Mythic+ Anima Powers Coming In Chains Of Domination2021-06-04 00:00:00
WoW Patch 9.1 Introduces Mini-Bosses in Mythic+ Dungeons
While anima powers in the tower are random, the ones from mythic+ don't seem to be. The info is pulled from the World of Warcraft Chains of Domination PTR so keep in mind that things might change. Each mythic+ dungeon will have four additional mobs. They are called lieutenants and they are some sort of mini-bosses. Each time the group defeats a lieutenant, the members get an anima power. Here are some things to know about them. They don't contribute to the dungeon count. You can see on the map where they are located. It looks like these mini-bosses are not very hard to kill, however, their location is not exactly on the way. Should you leave them alive, the last boss of the dungeon becomes more challenging. Each lieutenant gives an aura to the last boss. Let's see these auras. One lieutenant puts a fire DOT on the players. Another one reduces movement speed by 50%. The Intimidation aura makes players take 50% more physical damage. The last aura reduces received healing by 50%. You will deal with each lieutenant's aura when you fight it. If you decide to let them alive, you will deal with all four auras on the last encounter.
Mythic+ Anima Powers in World of Warcraft Chains of Domination
When players down a lieutenant, they receive an anima power. Actually, they choose one from a few that become available. These powers are based on roles so you will get an anima power that is beneficial for your role. Here is an example of an anima power. Crumbling Bulwark increases versatility by 3% and reduces damage taken by 40% for 3 seconds after entering combat. We might also have anima powers that are related to mythic+ affixes. This new feature will surely add complexity to mythic+ dungeons. It's very likely that players will figure out which are the optimal anima powers for a specific dungeon or situation in just a few days, or even earlier based on PTR info.
