World of Warcraft: What’s new in Patch 9.1
Chains of Domination takes place after the defeat of the sinister Sire Denathrius. The power of the Maw has not been destroyed, on the contrary, it is still growing. This prompt the adventurers to go back to the Maw in order to investigate the situation, along with the kyrian, necrolords, night fae, and venthyr who got their strength back. In terms of content, patch 9.1 adds a new zone to the game called Korthia, City of Secrets. This city was brought from into the Maw by the Jailer, who located it in the In-Between. Players will need to unite their forces with the covenants we mentioned above in order to stand a chance against the forces of the Jailer.
Chains of Domination also adds a new raid to the game as well as a new Dungeon. The new raid is called Sanctum of Domination and will allow the players to fight the Jailer in his lair in order to stop him from reaching his nefarious goal. In the Sanctum of Domination, you will fight the combined forces of Sylvanas Windrunner and the Banished One. The new dungeon, which actually is a mega-dungeon is called Tazavesh, the Veiled Market. It is a Mythic only dungeon with eight bosses in total and a bazaar theme. In the market, you will find mysterious brokers with specific agendas.
In addition to the changes mentioned above, patch 9.1 will allow players to have a better control over their rating in Mythic+ dungeons. You will also gain the ability to fly in Shadowlands. In order to do so, you will need to complete a particular quest from The Last Sigil storyline. The reward is a consumable called Memories of Sunless Skies that will allow every character on your account to fly in Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, and Revendreth as long as they possess the Expert Riding skill. Chains of Domination will also prepare the game for season 2 of Shadowlands that will start on July 6. The patch will add new mounts, pets, achievements and other elements to the game.
Several issues and bugs have been fixed and changes have been made to the balance of the game. The full patch notes are available on Blizzard official website.
